Welcome to Gleap! These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Gleap mobile application and related services (collectively, the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
PLEASE READ THESE TERMS CAREFULLY. THEY CONTAIN IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT YOUR RIGHTS AND OBLIGATIONS, INCLUDING LIMITATIONS ON LIABILITY AND A MANDATORY ARBITRATION CLAUSE.

1. ACCEPTANCE OF TERMS
1.1 Agreement to Terms
By accessing, downloading, installing, or using the Gleap Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy (incorporated by reference). If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use the Service.
1.2 Binding Contract
These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you (“you,” “your,” or “User”) and Gleap Limited (“Gleap,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).
1.3 Additional Terms
Certain features of the Service may be subject to additional terms and conditions, which will be presented to you at the time you access those features. Those additional terms are incorporated into these Terms by reference.
1.4 Age Requirement
You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you are 18 years of age or older.
2. ELIGIBILITY
2.1 Age Requirement
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account and use the Service. We do not knowingly collect information from or allow persons under 18 to use the Service.
2.2 Legal Capacity
You must have the legal capacity to enter into a binding contract. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have the authority to bind that organization to these Terms.
2.3 Geographic Availability
The Service may not be available in all countries or regions. We reserve the right to restrict access based on geographic location due to legal, regulatory, or business reasons.
2.4 Prohibited Users
You may not use the Service if:
- You are under 18 years old
- You have previously been banned or suspended from Gleap for violating terms or community guidelines
- You are a convicted sex offender
- You are prohibited by law from using the Service
- Your use of the Service would violate any applicable laws or regulations
2.5 One Account Per Person
You may only create and maintain one account. Creating multiple accounts is prohibited and may result in termination of all your accounts.
3. ACCOUNT REGISTRATION AND SECURITY
3.1 Account Creation
To use the Service, you must:
- Provide accurate, current, and complete registration information (email, phone number, date of birth)
- Create a secure password
- Complete your profile with truthful information
3.2 Accuracy of Information
You represent and warrant that:
- All information you provide during registration and in your profile is accurate, current, and complete
- You will promptly update your information to maintain its accuracy
- You will not impersonate any person or entity
- You will not misrepresent your age, identity, location, or other material facts
3.3 Account Security
You are responsible for:
- Maintaining the confidentiality of your password and account credentials
- All activities that occur under your account
- Immediately notifying us of any unauthorized use of your account
We will never ask for your password via email, message, or phone. Do not share your password with anyone.
3.4 Account Verification
We may require you to verify your account through:
- Email or phone number verification
- Photo verification (matching profile photos to a real-time selfie)
- Government-issued ID verification
- Other verification methods as we deem necessary
Failure to complete verification may result in account suspension or limited functionality.
3.5 Account Suspension or Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time, with or without notice, for:
- Violation of these Terms
- Fraudulent, abusive, or illegal activity
- Creating multiple accounts
- Harassing or threatening other users
- Uploading inappropriate content
- Any other reason we deem necessary to protect the Service or our users
4. USER CONDUCT AND COMMUNITY GUIDELINES
4.1 Prohibited Conduct
You agree NOT to:
Illegal Activity:
- Use the Service for any illegal purpose
- Violate any local, state, national, or international law
- Promote or facilitate illegal activities (prostitution, drug trafficking, human trafficking, etc.)
- Solicit money or financial information from other users
- Engage in fraud, scams, or other deceptive practices
Harmful Behavior:
- Harass, threaten, stalk, intimidate, or abuse other users
- Send unsolicited commercial messages (spam)
- Impersonate any person or entity
- Bully, discriminate, or promote hate speech based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or other protected characteristics
- Post content that is violent, graphic, or disturbing
- Share content depicting or promoting self-harm or suicide
Sexual Misconduct:
- Share sexually explicit content without consent
- Request or send nude photos to users who haven't consented
- Engage in sexual harassment
- Solicit or promote prostitution or escort services
- Share or distribute non-consensual intimate images (“revenge porn”)
Privacy Violations:
- Share other users' personal information without consent (email, phone, address, etc.)
- Screenshot or record conversations without permission and share them publicly
- Use information obtained from the Service for purposes outside the Service
System Abuse:
- Use automated systems (bots, scrapers) to access the Service
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or other users' accounts
- Introduce viruses, malware, or other harmful code
- Circumvent security features or access controls
Misleading Content:
- Post fake or doctored health documents
- Misrepresent your health status
- Use photos that are not of you or are heavily edited to misrepresent your appearance
- Provide false information in your profile
Commercial Use:
- Use the Service for commercial or business purposes without our written permission
- Advertise or promote products or services
- Recruit users for other platforms or services
- Use the Service to build a competing product or service
4.2 Health-Related Conduct
- You may NOT upload health documents showing positive STD/STI test results
- You must NOT misrepresent your health status
- Documents must be from legitimate medical providers
- You must NOT pressure other users to share health information
- You must NOT discriminate against users based on health status
4.3 Rating System Conduct
- You may only rate users you have meaningfully interacted with (shared location or exchanged messages)
- Ratings must be honest and based on your actual experience
- You must NOT coordinate with others to manipulate ratings
- You must NOT rate users based on protected characteristics (race, religion, etc.)
- You must NOT use the rating system for harassment or retaliation
4.4 Reporting Violations
If you encounter users violating these guidelines:
- Use the in-app “Report” feature on the user's profile
- Contact support@gleap.club with details
- Provide screenshots or other evidence if available
False reports: Submitting false or malicious reports may result in your account being suspended or terminated.
4.5 Consequences of Violations
Violations of these guidelines may result in:
- Warning or content removal
- Temporary suspension of account features
- Temporary or permanent account ban
- Removal of verification badges
- Legal action (for serious violations involving illegal activity)
- Reporting to law enforcement (when required or appropriate)
We reserve the right to take action at our sole discretion, with or without prior notice.
5. CONTENT OWNERSHIP AND LICENSING
5.1 Your Content
“Your Content” means any information, photos, videos, messages, profile information, health documents, and other content you upload, post, or transmit through the Service.
5.2 Ownership
You retain ownership of Your Content. However, by uploading Your Content to the Service, you grant us certain rights as described below.
5.3 License Grant to Gleap
By posting Your Content on the Service, you grant Gleap a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, transferable, sublicensable license to:
- Use, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, and display Your Content
- Distribute Your Content through the Service
- Create derivative works from Your Content (e.g., translations, reformatting)
- Use Your Content for purposes of providing, improving, promoting, and protecting the Service
This license continues even after you delete Your Content or close your account, to the extent Your Content has been shared with other users or otherwise integrated into the Service.
5.4 Representation and Warranty
By posting Your Content, you represent and warrant that:
- You own Your Content or have the necessary rights to post it
- Your Content does not violate any third-party rights (copyright, trademark, privacy, publicity, etc.)
- Your Content does not violate these Terms or applicable laws
- You have obtained all necessary consents from individuals appearing in Your Content
- Your health documents are authentic and unaltered
5.5 Content Restrictions
You agree that Your Content will NOT:
- Be illegal, fraudulent, defamatory, or harmful
- Contain viruses, malware, or other harmful code
- Infringe on intellectual property rights
- Violate any person's privacy or publicity rights
- Contain sexually explicit material involving minors
- Promote violence, hate speech, or discrimination
- Contain spam or commercial solicitations
5.6 Content Moderation
We reserve the right, but are not obligated, to:
- Review, monitor, and moderate Your Content
- Remove or refuse to post any Content that violates these Terms
- Suspend or terminate accounts that repeatedly post prohibited content
- Use automated tools and human moderators to detect violations
We are not responsible for user-generated content and do not endorse any opinions expressed by users.
5.7 Removal of Content
You can remove Your Content by:
- Deleting specific photos or messages in the app
- Deleting your entire account (see Section 15)
Note: Content shared with other users (e.g., messages) may remain visible to those users even after you delete it from your account.
5.8 Health Documents
Health documents you upload are subject to additional restrictions:
- They are stored securely with standard AWS security features
- They are NOT visible to other users (only verification badges are shown)
- They are reviewed by authorized personnel only
- They must show negative STD/STI test results only
- They automatically expire and are deleted after 90 days
- You cannot manually delete them (they expire automatically or when you delete your account)
6. HEALTH VERIFICATION AND DISCLAIMERS
6.1 Health Verification Feature
Gleap offers an optional health verification feature that allows you to upload STD/STI test results to display a “Health Verified” badge on your profile.
6.2 Voluntary Participation
- Health verification is completely voluntary
- You are not required to upload health documents to use the Service
- You will not face any penalties or restrictions for choosing not to verify your health status
6.3 Acceptable Health Documents
We only accept:
- STD/STI test results showing NEGATIVE status
- Documents from recognized medical providers, laboratories, or clinics
- Tests dated within a reasonable timeframe (typically within the last 6 months)
6.4 Prohibited Health Documents
We do NOT accept:
- Test results showing POSITIVE status for any STD/STI
- Documents that have been altered, doctored, or forged
- Documents from unverified or non-medical sources
- Any health information unrelated to STD/STI testing
Important: Documents showing positive results are automatically rejected and are NOT stored on our servers.
6.5 Verification Process
- You upload a health document via the app
- The document is securely transmitted to our servers (AWS S3 Sydney)
- Our verification team reviews the document for authenticity and compliance
- If approved, a “Health Verified” badge appears on your profile
- The actual document is stored securely and is NOT visible to other users
Review Time: Verification typically takes 24-48 hours. Complex cases may take longer.
6.6 Verification Badge and Document Expiration
- The badge indicates you have uploaded acceptable health documents
- It does NOT specify which tests you took or the specific results
- Other users can see the badge but NOT your actual documents
- Health documents and badges automatically expire after 90 days
- You will need to re-upload a current document if you want to maintain verification
- You cannot manually delete health documents - they expire automatically or are deleted when you delete your account
6.7 Limitations and Disclaimers
IMPORTANT: PLEASE READ CAREFULLY
Gleap is NOT a medical service:
- We are a dating platform, not a healthcare provider
- We do not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment
- We do not endorse or recommend any medical providers or testing services
- Health verification is for informational purposes only
We do not guarantee:
- The accuracy of user-uploaded health documents
- That documents are authentic or unaltered
- That a user's current health status matches their uploaded documents
- That verified users are free from all STDs/STIs
- The medical validity of any test results
Users are responsible for:
- Ensuring the accuracy and authenticity of their documents
- Getting regularly tested for STDs/STIs
- Disclosing their current health status to partners
- Practicing safe sex and taking appropriate precautions
- Making their own informed decisions about sexual health
Health status can change:
- Test results reflect status at the time of testing only
- A negative test result does not mean a person is permanently free from infection
- STDs/STIs can be contracted after testing
- Users should get tested regularly and update their documents
No liability for health outcomes:
- We are not liable for any health consequences resulting from your use of the Service
- We are not liable for the accuracy or authenticity of health documents
- You assume all risks related to your health and sexual activity
- You are solely responsible for protecting your health
6.8 Your Responsibilities
By using the health verification feature, you agree to:
- Upload only authentic, unaltered documents
- Update your documents regularly (before the 90-day expiration) as appropriate
- Not misrepresent your health status
- Disclose relevant health information to sexual partners as appropriate
- Practice safe sex and take necessary health precautions
6.9 Misrepresentation
Uploading fake, doctored, or misleading health documents is:
- A serious violation of these Terms
- Potentially illegal in some jurisdictions (fraud, forgery)
- Grounds for immediate account termination and potential legal action
6.10 Consult Healthcare Professionals
For medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment:
- Consult qualified healthcare professionals
- Do not rely on information from Gleap or other users
- Get regularly tested for STDs/STIs at reputable medical facilities
7. RATING SYSTEM
7.1 Overview
Gleap includes a rating system that allows users to rate their experience with other users after meaningful interaction.
7.2 When You Can Rate
You can rate another user only if:
- You have shared your real-time location with them (via the location sharing feature), OR
- You have exchanged messages with them (sent at least one message each)
You cannot rate users you have only viewed or matched with but not interacted with.
7.3 Rating Scale
- Ratings are given on a scale of 1 to 5 stars
- 1 star = Very poor experience
- 5 stars = Excellent experience
7.4 Rating Criteria
You should rate based on:
- Respectfulness and courtesy
- Communication quality
- Honesty and authenticity
- Overall experience interacting with the user
You should NOT rate based on:
- Physical appearance (beyond what's shown in profile photos)
- Protected characteristics (race, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability)
- Rejection or lack of romantic interest
- Factors outside the user's control
7.5 Aggregate Ratings
- Users' profiles display their aggregate (average) rating if they have received sufficient ratings in the form of badges
- Individual ratings are NOT displayed
- Users CAN see who gave them ratings but CANNOT see the individual rating scores
- Only the aggregate score is visible on profiles in the form of badges
7.6 Privacy of Ratings
- You can see who rated you (list of users who have rated you)
- You cannot see the individual rating score each person gave you
- You can only see your aggregate (average) rating
- We do not disclose individual rating scores to anyone
7.7 Rating Manipulation Prohibited
You may NOT:
- Coordinate with others to artificially inflate or deflate someone's rating
- Create multiple accounts to manipulate ratings
- Threaten, coerce, or incentivize users to give you specific ratings
- Trade ratings or offer compensation for ratings
- Rate users you have not genuinely interacted with
Violations will result in account suspension or termination.
7.8 Dispute or Removal of Ratings
- You cannot dispute or request removal of individual ratings you receive
- If you believe ratings were manipulated or given maliciously, contact dispute@gleap.club
- We will investigate and may remove ratings that violate these Terms
- We reserve the right to reset or adjust ratings if we detect manipulation
7.9 Ratings and Account Standing
- Consistently low ratings may result in reduced visibility in search results
- Extremely low ratings may trigger account review
- We may suspend or terminate accounts with evidence of harmful behavior reflected in ratings and reports
7.10 No Guarantees
- Ratings are subjective opinions of individual users
- We do not verify the accuracy or fairness of ratings
- A high rating does not guarantee a positive experience
- A low rating does not necessarily indicate problematic behavior
Users should make their own judgments and not rely solely on ratings.
8. LOCATION SHARING
8.1 Location Features
Gleap offers location-based features including:
- Approximate location: Your city or region shown on your profile
- Real-time location sharing: Sharing your precise GPS location with specific matches
8.2 Approximate Location (Required)
To use the Service, you must provide your city or region. This approximate location:
- Is visible on your profile
- Is used to show you relevant nearby matches
- Does NOT reveal your precise GPS coordinates or home address
8.3 Real-Time Location Sharing (Optional)
You can choose to share your precise real-time GPS location with specific matches.
How it works:
- You and a match both agree to share location
- Your real-time location is visible to each other on a map
- Sharing continues until you or the match stops sharing
- You can stop sharing at any time
Important:
- Location sharing is completely voluntary
- You control who you share location with and for how long
- Shared location is used to facilitate in-person meetings
- Sharing location with a match enables you to rate them
8.4 Location Privacy and Safety
Safety Recommendations:
- Only share location with users you trust
- Meet in public places for first meetings
- Let friends or family know where you're going
- Do not share location until you're comfortable
We do not:
- Share your precise location with anyone you haven't chosen to share with
- Display your home address publicly
- Track your location when you're not using the app (unless background location is enabled)
8.5 Location Permissions
You control location permissions in your device settings:
iOS: Settings → Privacy & Security → Location Services → Gleap (Options: Never, Ask Next Time, While Using the App, Always)
Android: Settings → Apps → Gleap → Permissions → Location (Options: Deny, Allow only while using the app, Allow all the time)
Denying location permission:
- You can still use the Service with approximate location only
- Real-time location sharing will not be available
- Some features may have reduced functionality
8.6 Background Location (Optional)
Some features may request background location access (location while app is not in use). This is optional and you can:
- Deny background location access
- Use the app with “While Using” permission only
8.7 Location Data Retention
- Real-time location shared with matches is NOT permanently stored
- Historical location data is retained for a limited time for safety and fraud prevention
- Precise location data is deleted promptly after account closure
- See our Privacy Policy (Section 10) for full details
8.8 Misuse of Location Features
You may NOT use location features to:
- Stalk, harass, or threaten other users
- Determine users' home addresses
- Track users without their knowledge or consent
- Share other users' location data with third parties
Violations will result in immediate account termination and may be reported to law enforcement.
9. SUBSCRIPTION AND PAYMENT TERMS (WHEN AVAILABLE)
IMPORTANT NOTICE: All Gleap features are currently FREE. The following terms will apply only when we introduce paid subscriptions in the future. We will notify users in advance before any paid features become available.
9.1 Free and Paid Features
Current Status (All Free):
- Profile creation and browsing
- Unlimited matches
- Messaging
- Location sharing
- Health verification
- All other features
Future Paid Features (When Introduced): We may introduce paid subscriptions with additional premium features such as enhanced profile visibility, advanced search filters, priority customer support, additional profile customization, and other premium features to be determined.
When paid features become available:
- We will provide at least 30 days' advance notice
- You can continue using free features without subscribing
- Subscription will be completely optional
- Details of pricing and features will be clearly communicated
9.2 Subscription Plans (When Introduced)
When subscriptions become available:
- Subscription details (price, duration, features) will be clearly displayed before purchase
- Subscriptions may be offered on monthly, quarterly, or annual basis
- Prices are subject to change with notice
- Different pricing may apply in different regions
9.3 Payment Methods (When Available)
Payments will be processed through:
- Apple In-App Purchase (iOS users)
- Google Play Billing (Android users)
We will never store full credit card numbers on our servers.
9.4 Billing and Renewal (When Available)
- Subscriptions will automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless you cancel
- Your payment method will be charged at the start of each billing period
- Price may change with notice; you'll be notified before renewal at the new price
- You can cancel at any time before the next billing period
9.5 Cancellation (When Available)
You can cancel subscriptions at any time:
- iOS: Settings → [Your Name] → Subscriptions → Gleap → Cancel Subscription
- Android: Google Play Store → Menu → Subscriptions → Gleap → Cancel Subscription
Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. No refunds for partial periods.
9.6 Refunds (When Available)
Subscriptions will generally be non-refundable. Refunds may be issued at our sole discretion for:
- Technical issues preventing use of paid features
- Accidental duplicate purchases
- Other exceptional circumstances
To request a refund: Contact support@gleap.club within 14 days of purchase. Provide transaction details and reason for refund request. We will review and respond within 5-7 business days.
9.7 Price Changes (When Available)
- We may change subscription prices at any time with notice
- Price changes will not affect active subscriptions until renewal
- You'll be notified at least 30 days before a price increase
- You can cancel before the price increase takes effect
9.8 Free Trials and Promotions (When Available)
We may offer free trials or promotional pricing:
- Terms will be specified at the time of offer
- Free trials will convert to paid subscriptions unless canceled before trial ends
- Promotional pricing applies for specified periods only
- One free trial per user
9.9 Taxes (When Available)
- Prices may not include applicable taxes (VAT, GST, sales tax)
- Taxes will be added to your total based on your billing location
- Tax rates are determined by local laws
- Tax amounts will be displayed before you complete purchase
9.10 Payment Disputes (When Available)
For payment disputes or billing questions:
- Contact support@gleap.club
- For app store purchases, contact Apple or Google support
- Provide transaction details and description of issue
- We will investigate and respond within 5-7 business days
9.11 Subscription Benefits (When Available)
- Subscription benefits apply only to the account holder
- Benefits cannot be transferred to other accounts
- Benefits are non-refundable
- Benefits terminate when subscription ends or is canceled
- We may modify or discontinue subscription benefits with notice
9.12 Changes to Subscription Terms
Before introducing paid subscriptions, we will:
- Update these Terms with final subscription details
- Provide at least 30 days' advance notice
- Clearly communicate pricing and features
- Allow users to review and accept updated Terms
You will not be charged without your explicit consent.
10. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY RIGHTS
10.1 Gleap's Intellectual Property
All content, features, and functionality of the Service, including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, icons, images, software code, algorithms, and technology, the Gleap name, logo, and trademarks, design, layout, and user interface, and compilation of user content are owned by Gleap Limited, our licensors, or other content providers and are protected by copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, and other intellectual property laws.
10.2 Limited License to Use
Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to:
- Access and use the Service for personal, non-commercial purposes
- Download and use the Gleap mobile app on your device
This license does NOT permit you to:
- Copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the Service
- Reverse engineer or attempt to extract source code
- Use the Service for commercial purposes without our written permission
- Remove or modify any copyright, trademark, or proprietary notices
10.3 Trademarks
“Gleap,” the Gleap logo, and other Gleap trademarks, service marks, graphics, and logos are trademarks or registered trademarks of Gleap Limited. You may not use our trademarks without our prior written permission.
10.4 Copyright Infringement
We respect intellectual property rights and expect users to do the same.
If you believe content on the Service infringes your copyright, submit a notice to our Copyright Agent at:

- Subject: “Copyright Infringement Notice”
Your notice must include:
- Identification of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed
- Identification of the material that is infringing (e.g., URL, screenshot)
- Your contact information (name, address, phone, email)
- A statement that you have a good faith belief the use is not authorized
- A statement that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner
- Your physical or electronic signature
Counter-Notification: If your content was removed due to a copyright claim and you believe it was removed in error, you may submit a counter-notification to legal@gleap.club.
Repeat Infringers: We will terminate accounts of users who repeatedly infringe copyrights.
10.5 Feedback and Suggestions
If you provide us with feedback, suggestions, or ideas about the Service (“Feedback”):
- You grant us an unlimited, irrevocable, perpetual, royalty-free license to use, modify, and incorporate your Feedback
- We are not obligated to use your Feedback
- We are not obligated to compensate you for your Feedback
11. PRIVACY AND DATA PROTECTION
11.1 Privacy Policy
Your privacy is important to us. Our collection, use, and sharing of your personal information is governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.
By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of your information as described in our Privacy Policy.
11.2 Key Privacy Points
- We collect information you provide (profile data, messages, health documents)
- We collect information automatically (device data, usage data)
- We use your information to provide and improve the Service
- We share information with service providers, law enforcement (when required), and other users (as you choose)
- We take security seriously and implement industry-standard protections
- You have rights to access, correct, and delete your data (see Privacy Policy Section 9)
- We do not use third-party analytics companies to track your behavior
- We do not sell your personal information
11.3 Data Security
While we implement reasonable security measures, we cannot guarantee absolute security. You acknowledge that:
- Internet transmission is inherently insecure
- You use the Service at your own risk
- You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account
11.4 Data Retention
- We retain your data while your account is active
- After account closure, we retain certain data for a reasonable period for safety and legal purposes
- Health documents automatically expire after 90 days or are deleted promptly after account closure

11.5 International Data Transfers
Your data may be transferred to and stored on servers outside your country of residence (primarily in Australia). By using the Service, you consent to these transfers.
See Privacy Policy Section 7 for details on safeguards for international transfers.
11.6 Your Privacy Rights

- We do not control or endorse third-party services
- We are not responsible for their content, privacy practices, or terms
- Your use of third-party services is at your own risk
- Third-party services may have their own terms and privacy policies
Before using third-party services, review their terms and privacy policies.
12.2 Third-Party Payment Processors (When Available)
When we introduce paid features, we will use third-party payment processors:
- Apple In-App Purchase (iOS)
- Google Play Billing (Android)
These processors will have their own terms and privacy policies. We will not store full credit card numbers.
12.3 Health Testing Services
We may provide links to STD/STI testing services for your convenience.
Important:
- We are not affiliated with these testing providers
- We do not receive your test results from them directly
- You must manually upload results to Gleap (if you choose)
- We are not responsible for the accuracy of their tests
- We do not endorse any specific testing provider
Use testing services at your own discretion and review their terms/privacy policies.
12.4 No Liability for Third Parties
You agree that Gleap is not liable for:
- Actions or omissions of third-party services
- Losses or damages resulting from your use of third-party services
- Privacy practices of third parties
- Accuracy or legality of third-party content
- Security breaches on third-party platforms
13. DISCLAIMERS AND LIMITATIONS OF LIABILITY

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED ON AN “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” BASIS, WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED.
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
- Implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement
- Warranties regarding the accuracy, reliability, or completeness of content
- Warranties that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free
- Warranties that defects will be corrected
- Warranties regarding the results of using the Service
13.2 No Guarantee of Results
WE DO NOT GUARANTEE THAT:
- You will find a romantic partner, date, or relationship through the Service
- Users' profiles are accurate or truthful
- Users are who they claim to be
- Health verification badges reflect users' current health status
- Ratings accurately reflect users' character or behavior
- The Service will meet your expectations or needs

YOU ARE SOLELY RESPONSIBLE FOR:
- Your interactions with other users
- Verifying the identity and representations of users you meet
- Your personal safety when meeting users in person
- Practicing safe sex and protecting your health
- Conducting background checks or taking other safety precautions as you deem appropriate
WE DO NOT CONDUCT BACKGROUND CHECKS OR VERIFY THE IDENTITY, CRIMINAL RECORD, OR HEALTH STATUS OF USERS.

GLEAP IS NOT A MEDICAL SERVICE:
- We do not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment
- Health verification is for informational purposes only
- We do not guarantee the accuracy or authenticity of health documents
- We are not liable for any health consequences resulting from use of the Service
- You should consult healthcare professionals for medical advice
HEALTH STATUS CAN CHANGE:
- Test results reflect status at time of testing only
- Users may contract infections after testing
- You should practice safe sex regardless of verification status
13.5 No Liability for User Content and Conduct
WE ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR:
- Content posted by users (including false, offensive, or harmful content)
- Conduct of users on or off the Service
- Disputes between users
- Harm resulting from user interactions (online or in person)
WE DO NOT PRE-SCREEN OR VERIFY USER CONTENT.
13.6 Limitation of Liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW:
WE (GLEAP LIMITED, OUR AFFILIATES, OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS, AND LICENSORS) WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR:
- Any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
- Loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill
- Service interruptions or loss of access
- Unauthorized access to or alteration of your content
- Statements or conduct of any third party on the Service
- Any other damages arising out of your use of the Service
THIS LIMITATION APPLIES TO ALL CLAIMS, WHETHER BASED ON WARRANTY, CONTRACT, TORT, OR ANY OTHER LEGAL THEORY, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
MAXIMUM LIABILITY: In jurisdictions that do not allow exclusion of certain damages, our total liability to you for all claims arising out of or related to the Service will not exceed the greater of: (a) The amount you paid to us in the 12 months before the claim arose, OR (b) $100 USD.
13.7 Jurisdictions That Do Not Allow Limitations
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain warranties or liabilities. In such jurisdictions, the above limitations may not apply to you, and our liability will be limited to the extent permitted by law.
13.8 No Liability for Third Parties
We are not liable for the acts or omissions of:
- Third-party service providers (payment processors when available, cloud hosts, etc.)
- Users of the Service
- Third-party websites or services linked from the Service
13.9 Basis of the Bargain
You acknowledge that the disclaimers and limitations in this Section 13 are fundamental elements of the agreement between you and Gleap, and that the Service would not be provided to you without these limitations.
14. INDEMNIFICATION
14.1 Your Indemnification Obligation
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Gleap Limited, our affiliates, officers, directors, employees, agents, licensors, and service providers (collectively, “Indemnified Parties”) from and against any and all claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, expenses, or fees (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or related to:
- Your use of the Service, including your interactions with other users, meetings with other users in person, and content you post or share
- Your violation of these Terms, including prohibited conduct, misuse of the Service, and violations of our community guidelines
- Your violation of any rights of third parties, including intellectual property infringement, privacy violations, and defamation or harm to reputation
- Your violation of any laws or regulations, including fraud or illegal activity, harassment or stalking, and distribution of harmful content
- Misrepresentation or fraud, including false health documents, impersonation, and misrepresenting your identity or intentions
- Content you upload, including photos, videos, or other content that infringes rights, health documents that are fake or altered, and offensive or harmful content
14.2 Indemnification Process
If a claim arises that triggers your indemnification obligation:
- We will notify you of the claim (if feasible)
- You will cooperate with us in defending the claim
- We reserve the right to assume exclusive defense and control of any matter subject to indemnification
- You will not settle any claim without our prior written consent
14.3 Survival
Your indemnification obligations survive termination of your account or these Terms.
15. TERMINATION AND ACCOUNT CLOSURE
15.1 Your Right to Terminate
You may close your account at any time by:
- In-app: Settings → Account → Delete Account
- Email: support@gleap.club with subject “Account Deletion Request”
15.2 Effects of Account Closure
When you close your account:
- Your profile will no longer be visible to other users
- You will no longer be able to access the Service
- Your messages will be deleted from your view (may remain visible to recipients)
- Subscriptions will be canceled if applicable (no refunds for partial periods)
- We will retain certain data for a reasonable period for safety purposes (see Privacy Policy Section 10)
- Health documents will be deleted promptly (if still within 90-day period)
15.3 Our Right to Terminate
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time, with or without notice, for any reason, including but not limited to:
Violation of Terms:
- Prohibited conduct (Section 4)
- Misrepresentation or fraud
- Harassment or abuse of users
- Creating multiple accounts
Safety Concerns:
- Threatening or violent behavior
- Sexual misconduct
- Harmful or illegal activity
- Reports of off-platform harm
Technical or Business Reasons:
- Suspected unauthorized access or security breach
- System abuse or manipulation
- Commercial or competitive use
- Prolonged inactivity
15.4 Immediate Termination
We may immediately terminate your account without notice for:
- Serious violations of Terms (illegal activity, violence, sexual exploitation)
- Creating imminent harm or danger to users
- Legal requirements or court orders
15.5 Effects of Termination by Us
If we terminate your account:
- You will lose access to the Service immediately
- You forfeit any unused subscription time if applicable (no refunds)
- You may be banned from creating new accounts
- We may retain certain data as described in the Privacy Policy
15.6 No Liability for Termination
We are not liable to you or any third party for termination of your account, including:
- Loss of access to your account or content
- Deletion of your messages or profile
- Loss of matches or connections
- Forfeited subscription fees (when applicable)
- Any other losses resulting from termination
15.7 Survival of Terms
The following sections survive termination:
- Section 5 (Content Ownership and Licensing)
- Section 10 (Intellectual Property)
- Section 13 (Disclaimers and Limitations of Liability)
- Section 14 (Indemnification)
- Section 16 (Dispute Resolution and Arbitration)
- Section 17 (Governing Law and Jurisdiction)
- Any other provisions that by their nature should survive
15.8 Reactivation
If your account was closed due to inactivity:
- You may request reactivation by contacting support@gleap.club
- We may require you to verify your identity
- We reserve the right to deny reactivation
If your account was terminated by us:
- Reactivation is generally not permitted
- You may appeal termination by contacting legal@gleap.club
- We will review appeals on a case-by-case basis
16. DISPUTE RESOLUTION AND ARBITRATION
PLEASE READ THIS SECTION CAREFULLY. IT AFFECTS YOUR RIGHTS AND HOW DISPUTES ARE RESOLVED.
16.1 Informal Dispute Resolution
Before filing a legal claim, you agree to first contact us at legal@gleap.club to attempt to resolve the dispute informally.
Process:
- Send a written description of your dispute to legal@gleap.club
- Include your name, account details, and desired resolution
- We will respond within 30 days with a proposed resolution
- Both parties will negotiate in good faith for 60 days
If we cannot resolve the dispute within 60 days, either party may proceed with formal dispute resolution.
16.2 Binding Arbitration
YOU AND GLEAP AGREE THAT ANY DISPUTE, CLAIM, OR CONTROVERSY BETWEEN YOU AND GLEAP ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE WILL BE SETTLED BY BINDING ARBITRATION, EXCEPT AS SPECIFIED BELOW IN SECTION 16.6.
This means:
- You waive your right to have disputes heard in court before a judge or jury
- You waive your right to participate in a class action lawsuit or class-wide arbitration
- An arbitrator, not a judge or jury, will resolve disputes
16.3 Arbitration Rules and Forum
For users outside of California:
- Arbitration will be administered by the Hong Kong International Arbitration Centre (HKIAC)
- Rules: HKIAC Administered Arbitration Rules (current version)
- Location: Hong Kong
- Language: English
- Number of arbitrators: One (1)
For California users:
- Arbitration will be administered by JAMS (Judicial Arbitration and Mediation Services)
- Rules: JAMS Streamlined Arbitration Rules & Procedures
- Location: Your county of residence or another mutually agreed location
- Language: English
Small Claims Court (All Users):
- Either party may bring a claim in small claims court if it qualifies
- The claim must be brought in the court's proper jurisdiction
16.4 Arbitration Process
Initiating Arbitration:
- Submit a demand for arbitration to HKIAC (or JAMS for California users)
- Provide a copy to Gleap at: legal@gleap.club
- Include: Description of dispute, amount of damages sought, desired resolution
Arbitrator's Powers:
- The arbitrator may award any relief available in court (damages, injunctions, declaratory relief)
- The arbitrator's decision is final and binding on both parties
- The arbitrator's award may be entered as a judgment in any court of competent jurisdiction
Fees and Costs:
- Each party is responsible for their own attorneys' fees and costs
- HKIAC/JAMS administration fees will be split equally unless the arbitrator decides otherwise
- If you cannot afford fees, contact us to discuss payment arrangements
16.5 Class Action Waiver
YOU AND GLEAP AGREE TO WAIVE THE RIGHT TO PARTICIPATE IN A CLASS ACTION, CLASS-WIDE ARBITRATION, OR ANY OTHER REPRESENTATIVE PROCEEDING.
This means:
- Claims must be brought individually
- You cannot act as a class representative or participate in a class action
- Claims cannot be consolidated with claims of other users (except as specified below)
Exception - Batch Arbitration: If 25 or more similar claims are filed, they may be resolved in batches for administrative efficiency.
16.6 Exceptions to Arbitration
The following disputes are NOT subject to arbitration:
- Small claims court: Claims that qualify for small claims court (subject to jurisdictional limits)
- Intellectual property claims: Disputes about intellectual property infringement
- Injunctive relief: Claims seeking emergency injunctive relief to prevent irreparable harm
- Governmental actions: Claims brought by government agencies
16.7 Opt-Out Right (California and Other Applicable Jurisdictions)
If you are a California resident or otherwise entitled to an opt-out right under applicable law:
You may opt out of arbitration within 30 days of creating your account or accepting updated Terms containing an arbitration clause.
To opt out:

- Subject: “Arbitration Opt-Out”
- Include: Your full name, email address, phone number, and a clear statement that you wish to opt out of arbitration
If you opt out:
- This arbitration clause will not apply to you
- Disputes will be resolved in court (see Section 17)
- All other Terms remain in effect
16.8 Severability
If any portion of this arbitration clause is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remainder will continue to be valid and enforceable, except:
- If the class action waiver is found invalid, the entire arbitration clause is void
- If arbitration is unavailable for any claim, that claim may be brought in court
16.9 Changes to Arbitration Terms
If we make material changes to this arbitration clause:
- We will notify you at least 30 days in advance
- Changes will not apply to disputes that arose before the change
- You may opt out of changes using the process in Section 16.7
17. GOVERNING LAW AND JURISDICTION
17.1 Governing Law
These Terms and your use of the Service are governed by the laws of Hong Kong, without regard to its conflict of law principles.
For EEA, UK, and Swiss users: Mandatory consumer protection laws of your country of residence may also apply.
17.2 Jurisdiction (If Arbitration Does Not Apply)
If arbitration does not apply to your dispute (e.g., you opted out, or the dispute is excepted from arbitration):
For users outside the EEA, UK, and Switzerland: You agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Hong Kong.
For EEA, UK, and Swiss users: You may bring claims in the courts of Hong Kong or in the courts of your country of residence (at your choice). We may bring claims against you only in the courts of your country of residence.
17.3 United Nations Convention
The United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG) does NOT apply to these Terms.
17.4 Statute of Limitations
You must bring any claim arising out of these Terms or the Service within ONE (1) YEAR after the claim arises, or the claim is permanently barred.
This limitation period is shorter than what may be allowed by law in your jurisdiction, but you agree to this shorter period.
18. CHANGES TO THESE TERMS
18.1 Right to Modify
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. When we make changes, we will:
For Material Changes:
- Post the updated Terms on the Service
- Update the “Effective Date” at the top
- Notify you via in-app notification, email to your registered address, and push notification (if enabled)
- Provide 30 days' notice before changes take effect
For Non-Material Changes:
- Update the “Last Updated” date
- Post the revised Terms on the Service
- No individual notice required
18.2 Your Acceptance of Changes
By continuing to use the Service after changes take effect, you accept the updated Terms.
If you do not agree with changes:
- Stop using the Service
- Delete your account before changes take effect

19. GENERAL PROVISIONS
19.1 Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and any additional terms presented to you, constitute the entire agreement between you and Gleap regarding the Service and supersede any prior agreements.
19.2 Assignment
You may not assign or transfer these Terms or your account to any third party without our written consent.
We may assign or transfer these Terms or our rights and obligations to an affiliate or subsidiary, or a successor entity in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
19.3 Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable:
- That provision will be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it valid and enforceable
- If modification is not possible, the provision will be severed
- The remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect
19.4 No Waiver
Our failure to enforce any provision of these Terms does not constitute a waiver of that provision or our right to enforce it later.
Any waiver must be in writing and signed by an authorized representative of Gleap.
19.5 Force Majeure
We are not liable for any failure or delay in performing our obligations due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including:
- Natural disasters (earthquakes, floods, fires)
- Acts of war, terrorism, or civil unrest
- Government actions or regulations
- Internet or telecommunications failures
- Pandemics or public health emergencies
19.6 Relationship of Parties
Nothing in these Terms creates a partnership, joint venture, employment, or agency relationship between you and Gleap. You are an independent user of the Service.
19.7 Third-Party Beneficiaries
These Terms do not create any third-party beneficiary rights, except: Indemnified Parties (Section 14) are third-party beneficiaries of your indemnification obligations.

These Terms are drafted in English. Any translations are provided for convenience only. In case of conflict, the English version prevails.

Section headings are for convenience only and do not affect the interpretation of these Terms.
19.11 Mobile Application Stores
If you downloaded the Gleap app from Apple App Store or Google Play Store:
- You acknowledge that these Terms are between you and Gleap, not Apple or Google
- Apple and Google are not responsible for the Service or these Terms
- Apple and Google are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them
- Apple and Google's terms also apply to your use of the app
19.12 Export Controls
You agree to comply with all applicable export and import laws when using the Service. You may not use the Service if you are located in a country subject to a U.S. government embargo or designated as a “terrorist supporting” country.

BY CREATING AN ACCOUNT OR USING THE GLEAP SERVICE, YOU ACKNOWLEDGE THAT:

- You agree to be bound by these Terms
- You understand the health verification disclaimers and limitations
- You understand that health documents automatically expire after 90 days
- You understand the arbitration and class action waiver provisions
- You understand that Gleap is not a medical service and does not provide medical advice
- You are solely responsible for your interactions with other users and your safety
- You understand your privacy rights and how to exercise them
- You consent to the collection, use, and sharing of your information as described in the Privacy Policy
- You understand that all features are currently free and will be notified before any paid features are introduced
- You understand that you can see who rated you but not their individual rating scores
If you do not agree to these Terms, you must immediately stop using the Service and delete your account.
